Knights of Columbus Hall, Goderich

The local Sikh community is returning with its annual Vaisakhi celebration to introduce residents to a spring tradition marked in the Punjab region of India here in Goderich. Funds raised during this special spring fundraiser benefit the Alexandra Marine and General Hospital Foundation’s Magnetic Moments campaign, a two-year, $6.5 million initiative to bring an MRI to Huron County

The cultural event in Goderich is  planned for April 19 at the Knights of Columbus Centre and will feature Indian food, Bhangra dancers, henna art and turban tying demonstrations, along with a short presentation about the significance of Vaisakhi and the MRI campaign.
