Calling all farmers!

February 24, 2026

The Alexandra Marine & General Hospital Foundation's annual Farmer's Breakfast returns on March 27, 2026 at Cowbell Brewing in Blyth.
And, once again, we're cooking up something good.
Join us around the table for an abundant breakfast provided by local suppliers, a timely keynote speaker talking about tax, and a swag bag to tote home some goodies.
Keynote speaker Jesse Moore, Partner at MNP in Kincardine, presents Farm to Filing: 2026 Income Tax Topics and Tax Planning for Farmers and will speak to the following in advance of tax season:
  • Recent, not-so-recent, and upcoming income tax changes affecting farmers
  • The importance of carrying on a farming business and the impact of renting/sharecropping farmland
  • Qualifying for the Lifetime Capital Gains Exemption when selling a farm, an interest in a family farm partnership, or shares of a family farm corporation
  • Keeping your farm business structure “onside”
  • Succession planning considerations and options for farmers and recent planning trends
  • Estate planning considerations for farmers
Doors open at 8:30 am with breakfast served at 9 am. We'll save time to chat after and wrap up by 11:30 am on Friday, March 27.
Tickets are $20 per person and include keynote speaker, full breakfast, and a swag bag.
Purchase tickets online at:
AMGH Foundation.
Don't delay. Seating is limited and we anticipate this event will sell out.
Money raised supports the $6.5 million Magnetic Moment campaign to bring an MRI to the Alexandra Marine & General Hospital.
